Sirens, Storms, and flying Saucers emerge in Lipchiks new works as he plays with fragmented figurative bodies engaged with natural, the supernatural, and mythological forces. Although heroic in scale the paintings are stripped of white male heroism. Awkward figures are disembodied amongst queering digitized narratives in digitized theater sets. Ideas of camp and humor come forward as notions of little green men and seductive sirens play with irony.
