We are delighted to announce the upcoming publication from DISTANZ Verlag, celebrating the oeuvre from 2018-2025 by Stefan Knauf. The book offers a retrospective of his work over the past years and focuses on his recent institutional solo exhibition, ‘Forever Again’, in Haus Coburg, Delmenhorst. It comes with a variety of text contributions by six authors:

Daniel Sherer reflects on Stefan Knauf’s work of recent years; Mariana Lemos examines the exhibition at Haus Coburg and explores the notion of ecological grief; Andrea Volken considers the political dimensions of mourning from an ecofeminist standpoint; Matilda Felix questions the role of museums and central storage facilities as institutions of cultural preservation; Matthias Krüger traces the rise of artist colonies in the late 19th century; and Eckhard Fuhr recounts the history of the Agnus Dei, the Lamb of God.
